Electrical Safety Training

Electricity is a big part of our daily lives and because we use it so often, it is easy to forget how dangerous is can be. Many workers are unaware of the potential electrical hazards present in their work environment, which makes them more vulnerable to the danger of electrocution. A simple electrical short circuit can start a fire that can cause extensive damage. Especially in offices, companies and industries, an electrical accident can prove to be costly. The National Safety Council estimates that around 4,400 people are injured annually because of electrical hazards. Electrocutions rank 4th in the cause of industrial fatalities with most of the accidents involving low voltage of 600 volts or less. This course series will focus on protecting employees exposed to electricity and how to minimize or eliminate the potential electrical dangers.
