Environmental Awareness
UNESCO, The United Nations Educational Scientifics and Cultural Organization, states that every second, the urban population grows by two people and one of four city residents worldwide. In total, 194 million people live without access to improved sanitation facilities. The World Health Organization states that a lack of safe water and sanitation in cities leads to cholera, malaria, and diarrhea. Poor sanitation and pollution is a problem that is worldwide and whether we realize it or not, each one of us performs small actions that collectively affect the planet. More awareness of our impact on the environment can help us better manage our industrial, commercial, and personal activities.
