Forklift Operator Training - Safe Operations
Forklifts, also known as powered industrial trucks, are used in numerous work settings, primarily to move materials. Each year, tens of thousands of injuries related to powered industrial trucks (PIT), or forklifts, occur in US workplaces. Unfortunately, most employee injuries and property damage can be attributed to lack of safe operating procedures, lack of safety-rule enforcement, and insufficient or inadequate training [osha.gov].
You should already have a basic understanding of forklift operations and safety when taking this course, however, even with a good background it is important to develop a deeper understanding of OSHA’s requirements. This course covers the training requirements of some of the workplace related topics such as 1910.178(l)(3)(ii)(G), 1910.178(l)(3)(ii)(I), 1910.178(l)(3)(ii)(D).
