Hospital Safety Training

The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the healthcare industry provided 14.2 million jobs for wage and salary workers in 2008. Health care is the second fasted growing sector of the U.S. economy. Health care workers face a wide range of hazards on the job, including needlestick injuries, back injuries, latex allergy, violence, and stress. Many of the healthcare jobs that are regulated by State licensure require healthcare professionals to complete continuing education at regular intervals to maintain valid licensure.This Hospital Safety Training series covers safety and security topics that are relevant to everyone that works in a hospital or medical setting (from an administrative employee, to maintenance staff to those that have direct patient contact).
