Lawful Terminations & Employee Separation
When employees transition out of the company, willfully or not, there are some legal implications that must be considered. In a national wide study done by the Bureau of National Affairs, the average jury verdict in wrongful termination case is over $600,000 and companies lose 64 percent of the cases.
Upon completion of the learning event, the Learner will know how to identify potential legal problems in the employee termination/separation process and how to ensure the company’s actions are legal and proper. This course is intended to assist the employer in meeting EEOC Standards.
