Park & Landscaping Maintenance Safety
Landscaping maintenance workers are at risk from a wide range of physical and exposure hazards. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, has determined that landscaping is one of seven industries with high injury and illness rates.
This course is designed for landscaping workers or other type workers who have to work outside and are exposed to a wide range of hazards. There are no specific training requirements for landscaping personnel outlined by OSHA, however employers are required to train employees over the hazards of the workplace, as dictated by the General Duty Clause. Upon completion of this learning event, the Learner will know how to identify the common physical and health hazards associated with municipal park and landscaping work and how to minimize or eliminate them.
