Street Maintenance Worker Safety
Street maintenance covers a lot of different job activities. Your work will involve street signs, cleaning city streets and storm drains, and sidewalk and street repairs. As you can imagine, all of these activities hold certain hazards. Traffic can be especially dangerous, because you can never predict what drivers will do. But by adopting and consistently following safe work practices, you can minimize the chances that you’ll be injured or get sick on the job.
This course is designed to educate street maintenance workers over the hazards and risks of their occupation, as well as provide methods and procedures to mitigate these risks. There are no formal training requirements for street maintenance workers outside the General Duty Clause.
