Job Safety Analysis
Job hazard analysis can help you discover hazards in your workplace and find ways to protect yourself from them. At times, safety experts are required to do an extremely specific breakdown of a job to understand the jobs hazards. At other times, the company’s safety officer will do a general evaluation of job practices and current safety measures. However, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, recommends that employees do their own job safety analysis and participate in company efforts to reduce workplace hazards.
This course is designed to provide the Learner with the basic skills they will need to understand and perform a basic job hazard analysis. By the time this course is over, the Learner should be able to describe the need for a job hazard analysis, recall the process of preparing for a job hazard analysis, recall the process of identifying workplace hazards, and recall the means of correcting or preventing hazards.
