Occupational Health and Safety Training

This series is intended for general industry health and safety training. The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses among private industry employers declined in 2009 to a rate of 3.6 cases per 100 equivalent full-time workers, down from a total case rate of 3.9 in 2008. The Bureau of Labor Statistics also reported a decline in the total number of cases from 3.7 million in 2008 to 3.3 million in 2009.
