SafetySkills Announces Partnership with Single Source Health & Safety
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (November 7, 2017) – SafetySkills, an e-learning provider of interactive compliance training, has announced it has signed a partnership with Single Source Health & Safety LLC, a nationwide provider of American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and BLS training, AED sales and program management.
Through the partnership, SafetySkills is now able to offer online American Red Cross CPR and First Aid training courses in the SafetySkills LMS. Training is completed in a blended learning format where after completion of the online portion of the course students attend a classroom-based skills testing session conducted at their company. Onsite skills testing sessions and Red Cross certification will be provided by Single Source Health & Safety LLC.

This comes on the wake of legislature passed in both Rhode Island and New York that emphasizes the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in the workplace. Rhode Island passed the broadest AED placement mandate so far in the United States, as it requires any public enclosed area capable of holding three hundred people or more to have an AED on site. The bill passed in New York provides a tax credit of $500 per AED purchased for use in a business. Many state AED laws require that any employees that many potentially use the AED must successfully complete a training course in the operation of an AED approved by a nationally-recognized organization like the American Red Cross.
