Training Requirements

Who is required to receive training?

  • Employees in companies with 15 or more employees.
  • Supervisory and managerial employees must receive additional training.

What must the training include?

  • Illegality of sexual harassment; the definition of sexual harassment; a description of sexual harassment with examples; the complaint process; legal options; contact information for the commission; and retaliation.
  • Supervisory and managerial supplemental training must include the specific responsibilities of these employees and methods to take immediate action when sexual harassment is reported.

How often is training required?

Training is only required in the first year of employment.
