Update to SafetySkills Learning Management System

You asked. We listened. Version 10.2 is here!

Version 10.2 of the SafetySkills LMS was published on December 26, 2016. This update is primarily focused on an update to the automatic assigning feature. The automatic assigning feature provides ease of assigning and tracking compliance for users. This hands-off approach allows admins to focus more on the job-site, running reports and communicating with their users about the training and their job functions.

This update allows organizations to change their matrix from year to year easier than ever before! With the addition of a “Compliance Level” setting, admins can now dictate if the course needs to operate under strict compliance or lenient compliance. This function allows for more flexibility in your training program and is fully customizable by course and group.

How This Update Affects You…

For Super Administrators and Owners:

  • Ability to toggle compliance level for a particular course in an auto assign group.
    • There are 2 settings for the new “Compliance Level” option:
      • Strict:
        • If a course is associated with a regulation that must be met every 12 months to the day, we recommend selecting “Strict” from this drop-down.
        • Selecting strict may cause assignments to activate now, and back-date due dates in the system, but will ensure your users are currently assigned the training they need right now and show they are due or overdue for the correct strict dates.
      • Lenient:
        • If a course is more awareness level training or training that needs to be completed during the calendar year, but not necessarily to the exact day, we recommend selecting “Lenient”.
        • Selecting lenient will allow some users to technically go past their “compliance date”, but not too far.

For Administrators and Learners:

Update 10.2 may affect assignments for learners and administrators, but will not affect the overall learner or administrator functions in the SafetySkills LMS.
